For many people, conference culture is what keeps them connected to their Unitarian Universalist faith during their transitional young adult years. Conferences such as Opus and ConCentric draw young adults from all over the USA, Canada, and even the UK.
Conferences are a place for spiritual recharging, leadership development, and community building. Workshops and worships are all young adult led, and conferences are hosted by young adults, for young adults.
Want to know something neat about our future ministers? Many of them are coming from conference culture. In 2000, 120 young adults attended Opus. By 2007, 40 of them were ordained ministers.
Take a look at the schedule of upcoming conferences listed on connectuu.org to find new opportunities to connect, worship, and do social justice work with other young adults.
